Borage-Infused Vodka Lemonade

For a refreshing treat on a hot summer day, try out our twist on a simple vodka lemonade. Fresh borage leaves offer a light cucumber flavor and gorgeous lemon slices and periwinkle blue borage flowers create a beautiful display.

Makes 2 drinks

What you’ll need:

Tools:

  • Cutting board and knife
  • Blender
  • Jigger
  • Fine strainer and cheesecloth
  • Chilled tall glasses

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp superfine sugar
  • 4 medium borage leaves, cleaned
  • 12 oz cold water
  • 4 oz vodka
  • Thin lemon slices for glass
  • Borage flowers for garnish
  • Ice

 

1. Chill two tall glasses in the freezer
2. In a blender, pulse together lemon juice, sugar, and borage leaves.
3. Add water and pulse again to fully combine.
4. Add lemon slices and ice to a glass and pour 2 oz of vodka per glass.
5. Into the iced glasses, pour borage lemonade through a fine strainer lined with cheesecloth.
6. Add borage flowers for garnish and enjoy!

Note: To make a virgin drink, eliminate the vodka and add a 4oz of seltzer water to top the glass.
