Looking for relief on a hot day, or just dreaming of a beachside cabana? This fresh take on a classic tropical cocktail is unique and totally drinkable. Our recipe makes an entire pitcher, so make sure to enjoy with friends, or stash it in the freezer in a sealed container for a couple of days (just blend again before drinking!).

What you’ll need:

Tools:

Blender

Measuring cups

Cutting board and knife

Serving glasses

Fine grater

Ingredients:

1 cup spiced rum

15 oz coconut cream

¼ cup lime juice, fresh squeezed

½ cup coconut milk

½ cup pineapple chunks, fresh

¼ cup fresh basil leaves

Ice cubes for blending

Fresh nutmeg, for topping

  • Fill blender halfway with ice.
  • Add all ingredients except nutmeg to the blender and blend until completely combined.
  • Thin with extra coconut milk or add more ice to thicken if necessary.
  • Pour into a glass and grate nutmeg on top. Add a sprig of basil, fresh chunk of pineapple, or maraschino cherry for garnish and enjoy!
