Hey, I’m Rebecca, and if you ask me how hard building a fence is, I will probably say, “Eh, let’s find out.”
It started in my father’s garage in Ohio, where he would slide a tool across the bench and say, “Go on, try it.” My first project was a crooked birdhouse at age 9, and I was prouder of it than anything.
It’s been more than 8 years now, and I have made home and garden building easy to understand and doable for beginners.
I have built and helped others build the projects I write about, including wood fences, raised garden beds, planters, and simple outdoor furniture.
To add to it, I have also completed a hands-on carpentry fundamentals course at a community college in Ohio.
And when I am not building, I’m the family barista, tending my roses, and chasing an idea that somehow turns into a full afternoon project.
