How to Harvest Purple Bunching Onions

Purple bunching onions are not only beautiful to grow, but also easy to harvest. They may be harvested like Onion Greens, or with our pointers below when the roots are deep-purple and mature.

How to Harvest Purple Bunching ONions:

1. Harvest purple bunching onions when young, similar to onion greens or wait about 60 days when the roots are mature. 
2. Gently pull the individual onions out of the soil, or loosen the clump to harvest all of the bunching onions at once. These are similar to scallions, with a beautiful purple hue.
