HOW TO HARVEST Onion Greens:

  1. After about 4 weeks of growth, when the plants are at least 6" tall, identify the largest, outer leaves.
  2. Using a pair of scissors, and give them a "haircut" by snipping off about third of the leaves, about halfway down. This will allow new growth to develop for continuous harvests.

Hi Christina,
The “onion greens” in the Herb Seedsheet are called “Evergreen Hardy Bunching Onions” and are a variety of green onion. I hope this clears things up and let us know if you have any other questions.

Happy Harvesting!

Are what SeedSheet calls “onion greens” the same thing as green onions/scallions? My herbs SeedSheet is starting to grow and I’ve been searching the internet for “onion greens” and can’t find anything except this page!

Thanks in advance!
