"I didn't know that you could start a garden in autumn until I planted a Fall themed Seedsheet last year. I had a nearly limitless supply of kale that lasted through our whole winter (North Carolina), plus carrots, beets, and greens. We ate like vegan royalty all winter long! "

Frequently Asked Questions

I can grow in the fall?

Heck yes! Most of the country has a fall gardening season that is great for cold-weather tolerant crops, like the ones suggested on this page, or in our curated Fall Garden Collection. If you're in the southern half of the country, you can grow all year long (you may need a remay cloth if you experience frosts). Don't limit yourself to Spring planting, fresh food tastes even better in the fall and winter!!

Are Seeds Included?

Yes! Seedsheet's feature plantable weed-blocking fabric that is embedded with the optimal arrangement of dissolvable pods, which contain organic and heirloom seeds and a buffer of soil! Just add water!

do I have to bury the Seedsheet?

No! Becuase our dissolvable seed pods contain a buffer of soil, all that you need to do is 1) prepare your gardens soil so it is loose and nutrient-rich, 2) Place the Seedsheet directly on top of the soil and secure with the included states, and 3) water the pods until dissolved!

Are the seeds organic?

We're proud to work with truly amazing seed partners, and source the finest organic and heirloom seed varities in all the lands!

Don't I need to start some kinds of seeds indoors first?

No!! Some climates have shorter growing windows, which means you either need to start slow-growing plants indoors, or you can grow fast-growing plants! We choose the fastest DTM (days to maturity) plants possible, so you can start your garden directly outdoors!

What do I do at the end of the season?

Seedsheet's also make cleanup a breeze, and when your plants are ready to be removed, you can simply pull up the sheet and usually the plants will come right out with it! Use scissors to separate out the sheet from the plant material, and then put it in the recycling! You should add fertilizer or compost to your garden bed before replanting a new Seedsheet.

Are Seedsheets re-usable?

Seedsheet's specifically feature annual plants, meaning they will typically die at the end of a growing season. We did design our products to be modular, so if a row of carrots are ready to be harvested, you can harvest and remove that row, and then plant a new row of radishes in its place!

Where are Seedsheets made?

We are very proud to make every Seedsheet by hand in our Middlebury, Vermont factory, by local employees earning a fair wage, and sourcing the very best organic and heirloom seeds possible!

What if I have no idea how to garden!?

Then we are your new best friends. We have a vibrant customer community and VIP group that helps answer questions, as well as QR codes on every row of plants that you can scan with your phone and get specific tutorial information for each plant type!

Will this work in my area?

We source the highest quality seeds from the most reputable organic seed breeders who supply commercial organic farmers. This means we have the most rigorous, hardy, fast-growing, and weather-tolerant seeds available, because nobody knows the importance of growing food like a farmer who's livelihood depends on it! No matter the season, Seedsheet has plants that will work for you!
