This smoothie is one of our favorites because it incorporates nutrient-dense leafy greens as well as fruit to leave you packed with antioxidants for the day! The components can be entirely flexible, so feel free to adjust to your taste.
INGREDIENTS
Handful blueberries (raw or frozen)
Handful of kale (raw or frozen)
Handful fresh basil
Squirt of honey
Spoonful of peanut butter
1 banana (fresh or frozen)
1/2-1 cup of water
METHOD
Add everything to your blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into your glass. Stick a straw in it to save you from green bits in your teeth (you’re welcome).
optional steps:
-add chia seeds to your glass (*after* blending because they get gelatinous when wet)
-add raw bee pollen for extra minerals, sweetness, and immune defense
-throw in a scoop of your favorite protein powder
